Granite Worktops
Granite: the worktop you buy once
Natural stone, cut from a slab you can pick yourself, sealed and polished in our Ipswich workshop and fitted across Suffolk, Norfolk and Essex.
Nature has been curing it for millions of years
Granite is about as tough as kitchen surfaces get. It resists heat, scratches and everyday knocks better than almost anything else you can cook on, and because every slab is natural, no two kitchens ever look the same. Damage is rare and almost always repairable with resin and matching stone chips.
It needs a little care in return: periodic sealing, and a trivet under anything straight out of the oven. We seal every top before it leaves the workshop and tell you honestly how to keep it at its best. No mystique, just stone.
Pick the exact slab your kitchen is cut from
Granite varies from slab to slab, which is exactly its charm. Our suppliers let you walk their racks and reserve the precise slab you like. It is delivered to our workshop, templated against your kitchen in Corex, cut, edge-profiled and polished, then fitted by our own team, usually within 8 working days of template.

Can granite be repaired?
Granite is very difficult to damage permanently. If damage does occur, it can usually be repaired with resin and granite chips so the fix blends into the stone.
Does granite need sealing?
Yes, granite is a natural, slightly porous stone and benefits from periodic sealing. We seal every worktop before it leaves the workshop and will advise how often yours needs re-doing, typically every few years depending on the stone and use.
Can I put hot pans directly on granite?
Granite is highly heat resistant, but we still recommend a trivet or heat mat. Sudden extreme heat can stress any natural stone, and protecting the surface keeps the sealant working properly.
Can I choose my own slab?
Yes. Our stone suppliers welcome customer visits so you can pick your exact slab from their stock. Reserved slabs are delivered straight to our Ipswich workshop to be cut for your kitchen.
